Elaine’s December Journal

All is Calm, all is bright.

The festive season is upon us again and it should be the most magical time of the year. I don’t know about you, but I often get so caught up in the build-up that I’m exhausted by the time the 25th comes around! This year I am giving myself permission to put me first and so should you.

All the making is complete and I am mentally winding down for December. It’s the perfect time of year for long walks on our farm. Our cattle have moved to their winter feeding grounds. We have an ancient hazel woodland on the farm and this time of year the cattle are free to graze between the trees alongside the resident wild goats. I didn’t get any shots of the wildlife on my walk, but my beautiful cow Rose posed for her Christmas portrait!
